Three Cultural Connections to Horus

The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan was a New York Times best selling book. In the story two kids learn they have magical powers and that their parents were willing to die for saving them. The boy, Carter, learns he has the powers of the great Egyptian god Horus.

The eye of Horus has become a very popular trend to get a tattoo or a henna tattoo

In ancient times Egyptian warriors would sing the War Song of Horus to prepare for battle. Now in modern culture that song is still sung in special ceremonies to keep tradition alive.
